The International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) Council has decided to move the IASP World Congress on Pain in Amsterdam, 27 June – 1 July 2021 to a virtual experience, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Our primary objective for cancelling the in-person event is the health and safety of our attendees, speakers, industry partners, staff and their families. We apologize for any inconvenience cancellation of the in-person meeting causes.

We recognize the influential role the World Congress plays in your professional career and in the pain industry. That is why we are actively working on a plan for virtual education in 2021, including 2021 Congress scientific content, that will keep you informed of the latest innovative research and pain education in pain relief and connected with your colleagues worldwide. We anticipate announcing more details in early 2021.

If you are registered for the Congress you have two options:

  1. Transfer your registration to the IASP 2022 World Congress on Pain, 19-23 September, Toronto, Canada
  2. Request a full refund

Please know that despite everything, we remain committed to sharing information and education on pain relief. Every day, new research addressing pain-related topics of importance to the pandemic are released, and we will continue making that research readily available to you.
